Ana Maria Deza
She was born in Lima, Peru in 1959. Ana María is married to another well established artist, José Cortez.
She studied painting at the ENBA of Lima, from where she graduated with the highest honors in 1989. Additionally, from 1993 to 1997, she studied etching, where she also graduated, also with honors.
She is considered to be one of the most talented impressionist artists of South America. Her skilled use of light color sets her apart from the other impressionist painters. Married to another well established artist, Jose Cortez, Ana Maria is secure in her professional standing. Deza has many honors and distinctions and studied etching in addition to her other distinguished achievements.
Her sophisticated use of light and color sets her apart from the other impressionist painters. She has been very active exhibiting her works, both at One Person Exhibitions and Group Exhibitions (more than 50) , as well as, participating in contests.
